WHO WE ARE

Legacy is the senior adult (no age criteria) ministry of Bridgepoint Church. Our purpose is to glorify the Heavenly Father through fellowship, fun, and service that is spirit lifting by conducting programs of interest, fun, and excitment. We provide ample opportunity to serve the elder church and paticipate in a wide varity of activities.

VOLUNTEER OPORTUNITIES

Outreach

We work with a team of volunteers to minister to shut-ins, make hospital and nursing home visits and create a discipleship/mentoring program to check on the elder church when a need is expressed. We also participate in the ongoing prayer chain.

Special Events Ministry

This team schedules events and outings for our ministry from potluck gatherings to BBQ's or trips.

Service Ministry

This group enlists men and women of all ages to tend to the needs of the elder church and widows by performing yard/garen chores, minor maintenance needs, transportation to appointments, assistance in church administrative needs, and annual community serve events.

Special Speaker Ministry

This group arranges speakers on a wide variety of special interest topics for Legacy events. Topics could include: self defense, estate planning, medicare insurance, etc. These speaker topics are generated by our populace.

Legacy Women

This groups vision is to reach women with a goal to provide physical, spiritual, and emotional support. Some of their projects include: the food pantry, monthly luncheons, hospital visitations, shut-in visitations, making quilt and lap robes for nursing homes. This group provides stability, friendship and relationship support.

"For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true, then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith endurance." Hebrews 6:10-12 (NLT)
