If I have a child in nursery, what should I pack for them?

When packing a diaper bag please include the following items:

Two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers please).

Pacifier or other items, should your child need it for security.

A complete change of clothes.

A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (please pre-mix and label).

Where should I park?

Children 2 years old through 5th grade meet in our Student/Children's Ministry Building. This is the building closest to Broadway Avenue. Check-In is just inside the double doors facing the parking lot. There is guest parking available close to this enterance. If you have an infant, the Busy Bee Nursery is located in the main building, just across the hall from the auditorium. There are guest parking spots close to the the main enterance as well.

How do I check in my child?

The main child check-in is located in the Student/Children's Ministry Building (the building closest to Broadway Avenue) just inside the double doors. There is also a check in in the Busy Bee Nursery located in the main building. To check in your child walk up to the kiosk. There will be a Check-in team member waiting to assist you. If you are a first time guest, your child will be given a preprinted tag, and you will be asked to fill out an information card. Upon your next visit your information will be listed in our database, when you arrive give your last name and the Check-in Team member will print your child's name badge. This name badge will be placed on your child which will include the child's name, a three digit/letter code, and any allergies. You will receive a sticker and it includes two identical three digit/letter codes which match your child's name badge code. If we need you to return to the children's ministry or nursery during the worship service, your code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. Your sticker/code is your ticket to your child. When you return to pick up your child, we will verify the code on your sticker to the sticker your child is wearing. A child will not be released to anyone without presenting the assigned sticker.

If my child is upset or needs me, will I be contacted?

If your child or baby is upset or needs you for any reason, we will put their code on the screens in the worship service. This will notify you to come see your child.

Is there a screening process/background check for your volunteers and staff?

Yes. We are dedicated to providing safe environments for kids with loving, caring adults. Each of our volunteers and staff completed an application and passed a background check.

What is your nursery cleaning policy?

At Babies Rock we realize it is a privilege to take care of your child and we desire to provide the cleanest environment possible. In order to do that we regularly do the following:

Have the carpets professionally cleaned.

Disinfect the toys and surfaces after each worship service or event.

Clean and sanitize all bottles, cups, and eating surfaces after each use.

Disinfect all changing areas after each use.

When should I keep my child home?

We strive to keep our nurseries and children's areas clean and safe. In order to do this please do not bring your child into the Nursery or Kids Rock with any of the following symptoms.

Fever of 100 degrees or above

Coughing or runny nose (clear is teething, yellow is infection)

Sneezing due to cold

Questionable rashes

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Red, watery eyes

What curriculum do you use in the children's ministry?

We use 252 Basics on Sunday mornings. This video explains our philosophy.

If I am not ready to bring my child into the nursery or children's ministry, is there a place to keep them with me? If I need to nurse my baby, is there a place I can do this?

Yes! We understand that there are some circumstances where you as a parent feel more comfortable being with your child during the services. In these circumstances we would like to direct you to our Family Viewing Room or our Nursing Mother's Room (for women only). Both of these areas will give you the privacy you need to take care of your child and still participate in the service. They are both located in the main buidling.
