Why Easter Still Changes Everything
Where were you on 9/11? Most of us can answer that question instantly. The day was etched into our memory—not just because of what happened, but because of how it changed everything afterward. But what if you were in New York the next day, on 9/12? The grief, the confusion, the questions, the heartbreak. Everything felt uncertain. The city would never be the same.
That feeling? That moment of national heaviness? It’s a small glimpse of what it was like to wake up in Jerusalem the day after Jesus died.
Thousands had gathered for Passover. Just days earlier, Jesus had entered the city to shouts of “Hosanna!” Now, the same crowds had screamed “Crucify Him!” The man they hoped would save them from Rome had been brutally executed by Rome. His followers had disappeared. His mission, it seemed, had failed.
And yet… that wasn't the end of the story.
From Cross to Empty Tomb
In this Easter message, we’re invited to imagine what it must have been like not just to witness the death of Jesus, but to experience the unthinkable joy of His resurrection.
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.” – Matthew 28:6
The resurrection of Jesus is more than a powerful moment in history—it’s the foundation of everything we believe.
Why the Resurrection Matters to You
🔹 It’s a historical fact. Over 500 eyewitnesses saw Jesus alive. Lives were changed. The church was born. Skeptics became believers. Enemies became followers.
🔹 It’s the basis of our faith. As Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15, "if Christ didn’t rise, our faith is useless". But because He did, we know He is who He said He is: the Son of God who conquered sin and death.
🔹 It’s the source of your forgiveness. Jesus didn’t just die to make us better people. He died to make us right with God. That’s why Easter is personal. It’s not just about the resurrection—it’s about what the resurrection makes possible for you.
🔹 It’s the anchor of our hope. Because Jesus rose, those who belong to Him will rise too. This world isn’t the end of the story—eternity is real, and heaven is waiting.
A Question Only You Can Answer
There are only two kinds of people: Those who belong to Christ—who have asked Him to forgive their sins and follow Him—and those who haven’t.
This Easter message asks the most important question of all: Do you know why the resurrection matters to you?
Watch the full Easter message now and discover why Jesus’ victory over death is still the greatest news the world—and your heart—has ever received.
